Retiring antivirus, servers included, without downtime.
An endpoint platform chosen on evidence in the client’s own environment, then rolled out to laptops and production servers with near-zero downtime.
The brief
Leadership wanted to replace legacy antivirus with endpoint detection and response. The open question was which platform actually fit the company’s culture and stack.
The difficulty
Production servers were in scope, so a faulty agent meant an outage. And the new platform had to feed the existing SIEM, not become one more console to watch.
What we did
- Evaluate
In the client’s own environment
Leading platforms side by side: contained malware tests, measured response times, log-ingestion trials.
- Decide
A business case from evidence
The results, not the demos, wrote the recommendation.
- Roll out
In phases, with weekly KPIs
Laptops first, then servers, with reporting to management every week.
The result
- Near-zero
- Downtime, servers included
- One
- Console: detections inside the existing SIEM
The lesson
Evaluate in your environment, with your logs. The strongest product in a demo is rarely the strongest in production.
